For the completion of my degree, I needed to undertake work placement at a game studio. I was able to get a position at Mini Mammoth Games in their placement program. Their program required me to make several games, which are feature below. The ratings reflect how enjoyable I think the games are.

Tap Battles

A hyper casual game built around tapping your phone screen as fast as possible. This game was made to fill the time. There was a point where there were no other work placement students for me to work with and I had a week or two before the other placement students arrived. As a result, nothing about this game particularly stands out.

Faster Than Water

A rogue-lite RTS game. It may not be clear but this game functions much like the game Faster than Light, hence the title. The idea for this game came from the team I was assigned to when I started. As the team was already established and finishing their placement, my job was to bring all the work together and turn it into a coherent game. This was a difficult task and the least enjoyable game to work on.

Follow Me if You Want to Live

A puzzle/memory game. Each level of this game is randomly generated, with higher levels having more obstacles. Once the level is generated the path to the exit is shown to the player, who has to memorize it before it vanishes. This game was the seed idea for some of the code that Back to Work was built on. It was one of the fun and easy to make projects from the start of my placement.
